Though not presented in initial renders, the scheme also includes expansion of the northern Anfield Stand. It will house most of the club’s hospitality and offices, also becoming home to the Hillsborough Memorial. In April 2014 The Reds first presented renderings of the new Main Stand, which should grow by 8,500 seats and reach a stunning 21,000 capacity. Both were eventually dropped for lower value for money than the expansion scheme.
